One of the most accurate depictions of a panic attack that I’ve ever seen.

Thank you. Just thank you. Far too many people don’t seem to grasp the concept of what a panic attack actually is. Getting upset is not a panic attack. This is.

this is actually really accurate, especially the feelings of not really being there. i cannot concentrate when i’m having an anxiety attack, i can only concentrate on the anxiety itself. I had an panic attack yesterday and i can’t remember anything of what anybody was actually saying to me during that time, its like being in a tunnel and everyone else is shouting at you from the other end.

Anonymous asked: To the person who is doing a presentation, I had to do one last monday and tuesday and was ruining myself about it, almost not even going to class and saying I was sick or something bad. my monday one was super quick and i made it fun and got 90% the tuesday one again i just made it as fun/funny as possible to have the crowd involved and interested so that they paid less attention to me and more on what i was talking about, managed to get 96%! and im someone who freezes usually, good luck!

Wow, that is seriously amazing! You beast! I’ll try that myself too. ~~Anxiety Cat xx.

Become curious about what you are fearful about. Take that fear and turn it into curiosity instead.

Eek- the worst nightmare! I have some of these coming up for school as well and I’m pretty scared… The best advice I think I can offer is to become really REALLY interested in your topic, even if you have to kid yourself about it until it’s over! Just focus on how DING DANG INTERESTING the topic is that you’re speaking about and try not to think about the people watching. Remember- they all have to do it too, and the sooner you get it over and done with the sooner you can sit down in your chair and watch everyone else struggle. Remember to breathe and speak slowly. Practice in front of a friend first too, it makes it a lot easier. GOOD LUCK!
