Submissions will be open again soon guys and dolls, so keep a hold of those ideas!

(Sorry if I’m annoying.. Oh, I’m such an anxious cat! Anyway:)
Here is a point I would just like to get across. If you have an issue with this blog, whether that be you find it offensive, or the general submissions are a triggor for you, or anything else- I appreciate that it sucks for you, but please don’t send me messages asking me to delete the blog or certain posts.
You may not realise it, but this blog is not just for laughs and has certainly not been made in the spirit of poking fun at anxiety sufferers. Although it does give us a good chuckle here and there, it’s also incredibly helpful for many people. I get so many lovely messages from the over 25,000 followers saying how they’re so glad they’ve found this blog and that it’s made them feel less alone in the struggle.
Anxiety cats like ourselves often don’t open up to other people about their condition, and it’s difficult (at least in my experience) to find a community of other nervous kitties.
So whilst I apologise if you have some problem with it, I’d just like to suggest that you can appreciate where I’m coming from. I’m not deleting this blog any time soon as I firmly believe it does more good than bad.
Still- feel free to let me know if you have an issue with something I’ve posted as it helps keep the content in check if I get lots of messages with the same jist, but yeah.

There are also just two anon questions I’d like to answer whilst I’m here:
1. Why did Anxiety Cat post the rape-reference joke after the decision was made to put all sexual assault triggor memes under a read more?
Unfortunately this was mistake on my behalf and I take the blame for it. I went through the queue after I did that and deleted submissions with content of that nature, but I missed that one. Then the night it was posted I was out, so I was only able to get rid of it the next day which meant it was up for over 12 hours. I’m really sorry that happened and hopefully it won’t be repeated.
2. Why do I put ‘lol’ in the tags for submission?
When I started the blog I just put ‘lol’ in the tags because it got more people to see them, it’s one of the most popular tags on tumblr. Anxiety Cat probably doesn’t need that anymore as it does pretty well for itself, so if you think I should remove it, drop a message in my ask and I’ll see how many think it’s inappropriate.

Thank you to all the lovely followers who send me messages, even though I take a while to reply sometimes and they can be quite brief, you do all make me purr quite loudly when you send me love or send me stories of how the blog has helped you.
I want Anxiety Cat to be a refuge rather than an aggravator and I think you all know I’m trying to make it a good environment for us all. So do not tell me to delete the blog. By all means send suggestions on how I can improve, but I do have nine lives so it’ll take a bit more than rude messages to get rid of me!
Hope you’re all free of fur-balls and wishing you lots of catnip,
-Anxiety Cat.
